Colorado legislators today introduced a bill that would allow gay couples to adopt kids. Currently, gay individuals in CO may adopt children, but not gay couples. When gay couples are raising kids in Colorado, only one person is legally recognized as the parent. This bill would change that.

Voters were asked the same question during the last election, through Referendum I, which also asked voters whether gay couples could file as domestic partners with the state.
